Daniel Stauch

Daniel Stauch is a German photographer and visual artist whose work explores architecture, space and the urban environment. His photographs move between precise observation and artistic interpretation, transforming real places into carefully composed studies of structure, light, colour and atmosphere.

Born in Stuttgart, Stauch developed his visual language through an ongoing engagement with architecture and the way people perceive and inhabit space. Geometry, repetition, perspective and the relationship between built structures and their surroundings are recurring elements in his work. Rather than simply documenting a place, he searches for the moment in which architecture becomes an image in its own right.

Alongside his work as an internationally active architectural and interior photographer, Stauch has developed an independent artistic practice. His free works often begin with existing architecture or urban situations but deliberately move beyond conventional architectural photography. Through framing, reduction and abstraction, familiar environments become graphic compositions in which scale and context can become ambiguous.
