Between Light & Dark
New York Stories
New York is more than a city. It is a way of life — restless, fascinating and uncompromising.
In Between Light & Dark — New York Stories zeigt Udo Spreitzenbarth Fotografien, die während seiner vielen Jahre in New York entstanden sind. The exhibition moves between iconic personalities, intimate moments and the unmistakable energy of the city — between glamour and vulnerability, light and shadow.
Alongside well-known works, the exhibition presents new and previously unpublished photographs, offering a highly personal view of New York and the people who shape the character of the city.

Gala
Issue 35 · 2026
The opening in Baden-Baden made it into print.
In Gala (No. 35, 27 August 2026), Porsche Studio Baden-Baden looks back on the vernissage of Between Light & Dark — New York Stories: New York glamour, Udo Spreitzenbarth’s black-and-white photographs and the dialogue between fine art photography and automotive design.
A highlight of the evening was the talk “Udo & Friends” with Thomas Zeumer, gallerist and architectural photographer Daniel Stauch, interior designer Samantha Cato and actor Dylan Douglas. The auction of a work by Udo Spreitzenbarth raised EUR 2,500 for the support association of the paediatric oncology department at Kinderklinik Karlsruhe.
